Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) Program
The Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) grant program was created to provide funding to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk of flood damage to severe repetitive loss (SRL) structures insured under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The definition of severe repetitive loss is a NFIP-insured property that, since 1978 has had:
- four or more claim payments for building and contents of more than $5,000 each, or
- two or more claim payments for building loss claims where the total of the payments exceeds the market value of the property.
